Antidepressants are medications widely used in therapy for improving the emotional condition of a patient. They can be used both along with a psychiatric treatment and separately. These remedies are recommended for treating clinical depression, social phobia, panic attacks, anxiety and inquietude. One may buy antidepressant Celexa, Zoloft, Prozac or Paxil with/ without prescription for treating obsessive-compulsive disorder or other mood diseases.
Different antidepressants may have different effect and can be prescribed in different cases. There are 4 types of antidepressants available today in the pharmaceutical market: tricyclic antidepressants, selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs), monamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and reversible inhibitors of monoamine oxidase (RIMAs).
Tricyclic remedies for depression are the very first antidepressants that appeared in 1950s. These drugs are still used in medical practice for treating various emotional conditions. Some of the remedies included in this group have strong sedative effect. Due to some bothering side effects these remedies is not very popular among patients.
MAOIs are not in the number of firstly prescribed medications because they require keeping a strong diet during the course of treatment. But drugs of this type are highly efficient if a patient hasn’t made a progress taking other antidepressants. The effect achieved whilst taking MAOIs is approximately the same of that produced by RIMAs. Medications of the latter drug group are usually taken in higher dosage as compared with MAOIs drugs although they are prescribed when there was no success in treating depression with other medications.
SSRIs are the latest remedies for treating mental disorders offered in pharmaceutical market. This group consists of such medications as Celexa (Citalopram), Lexapro (Escitalopram), Prozac (Fluoxetine), Paxil (Paroxetine), Zoloft (Sertraline) and Symbyax.
One of the recent studies showed that all of these remedies are approximately equally efficient but only Citalopram is efficient and well-tolerated by patients. You may buy antidepressants Celexa that contains a sufficient dose of Citalopram for treating mental depression. These tablets for oral administration are available only on prescription, that’s why one should visit a doctor before (s)he decides to purchase the medication. Besides, your healthcare provider should know some facts about you before making a prescription. For example, it is necessary to tell him at once if you are pregnant, breast-feeding or plan to become pregnant; inform him about liver or kidney disease, heart disease, seizures or epilepsy and other experienced conditions. Do not forget to mention about other medications you are on at the moment to avoid negative consequences of drug interaction. SSRIs, as well as other antidepressants, should be taken in full accordance with directions of your doctor. Do not adjust doses and take it as long as recommended, even if you think there is no sense in it.
Antidepressants can be taken only if you are diagnosed with depression, OCD, mood disorder etc. and need a course of medical treatment. Do not buy antidepressant Celexa, Velaxin, Melipramin or any other drugs for depression without preliminary consultation with your doctor.
