The present study was designed to determine if a new combination neutriceutical bar would have a positive impact on the International prostate symptom score (IPSS) and uroflow rates in men suffering from mild to moderate symptoms of BPH, and to determine if a dose reduction to alternate day therapy would provide maintenance, improvement or deterioration in the initial symptom response after an additional two months.
Safety and tolerability
The study was designed to determine the safety in preventing the known and expected side effects of sexual dysfunction and cardiovascular insults reported with the alpha blockers and 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.
