Heart rate and systolic blood pressure remained stable with only a transient and minor but significant increase of 15% in heart rate and 6% in systolic blood pressure at the 10-minute mark following the bolus loading.
Diastolic blood pressure did not alter significantly from baseline levels (Figure 1).

Plasma catecholamine levels remained stable and did not alter significantly from baseline levels except for a transient increase in epinephrine (38%) and norepinephrine (19%) 10 minutes following the bolus injections. All subjects reported some form of dreaming, and all dreams were expressed as pleasant and never as were no cases of dysphoria or emergence-type reactions.
